The internet home of the descendants of James P. Moffat, Willam Moffat, the Moffats of Airdrie, Scotland, and originally, I assume, from the Moffats of Moffat, Scotland.
William left Scotland as a baby in the very early 1900's with his mother, Jeany Hogue Moffat, and siblings, following James P. Moffat, who preceded the family in coming to America. William ended up in North Seattle after working the coal mines near Butte, Montana and serving in the US Navy during WWII as a flight mechanic on PB2Y (subhunter) aircraft.
William Moffat married Alys Marion Garrett, and they had 2 sons, Kenneth and James.
Kenneth Moffat married Gail Pomerenk and had a son, Garrett, who in turn had 3 sons, William and Samuel, with Melissa Martin, and Cameron with Melody Taylor.
James Moffat married Alice Morgan and had 2 daughters, Rachel and Jennifer.
The family still lives in the Puget Sound area.
